A rare Chinese wood sculpture of a Dutch lady

18th/19th century

On a square base with a shaped bottom, the lady with crinoline and scarf, breasts showing, the head slightly turned, with curly hair, the wood with a dark red patina, unfortunately, damages to the hat and one foot.
H. 24 cm

The Dutch woman is wearing a hat, a necklace, a large shawl partly covering her bare breast, her hands in a muff, a long skirts.
This is a unique sculpture showing “the way they saw us” in the Far East.
