The animal is positioned climbing across a forked branch, with one arm raised and both feet grasping the wood—highlighting the species’ characteristic leaping posture. The fur is predominantly white with rich chestnut-red patches on the limbs and flanks, typical of the species.
Coquerel’s sifakas are medium-sized lemurs native to the dry deciduous forests of northwestern Madagascar. They are primarily arboreal and known for their distinctive mode of locomotion—vertical clinging and leaping—which is reflected in the mount’s pose.
